In the last decade, there were four U19 World Championships. Team USA won four medals in each of those four U19 World Championships events, including a total of nine gold medals. Richard Torrez Jr. won bronze at the 2016 U19 World Championship games before claiming a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Delante “Tiger” Johnson and Jajaira Gonzalez would also win gold at a U19 World Championships before representing Team USA at an Olympic Games down the line. JJohnson won gold at the 2016 U19 World Championships before representing Team USA at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. "Winning Worlds definitley gave me more confidence in boxing and made me work harder." 2024 Paris Olympic Games boxer, Jajaira Gonzalez stated. "I treat every fight the same because of my Worlds experience. I don't get nervous and I feel like that not only helped me get to the Olympics but also fighting all those different countries and their styles at Worlds helped my experience and prepared me for the Olympic Games."

The most recent U19 World Championship was held in 2021 in Kielce, Poland. Team USA earned four medals, including one gold medal from Yoseline Perez (Houston, Texas), who represented the United States at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
