Athletes are selected to USA Boxing’s High Performance Team in accordance with USA Boxing’s Athlete selection procedures, which can be found HERE.
Once a boxer is selected to a USA Boxing High Performance Team, all flights, housing, meals, and transportation are covered by USA Boxing for any High Performance training camp and/or international competition that he or she is selected for.
In addition, boxers may be eligible for other High Performance benefits, as outlined in the table below:

*Monthly stipends and Elite Athlete Health Insurance will be awarded to the number one ranked boxer in each male and female Olympic weight division who is selected to the Elite High Performance Team based on USA Boxing’s Athlete Selection Procedures. Elite Athlete Health Insurance (EAHI)
Athletes named to the Elite High Performance Team who meet the criteria for Athlete Stipends will be offered EAHI during the month of their qualifying performance.
If at any point an athlete no longer qualifies for stipends as a member of the Elite High Performance Team, they will be removed from EAHI, effective immediately.
Other notes to consider regarding athlete benefits:
- International Competition: Events as determined by USA Boxing.
- High Performance Training Camps: Training camps throughout the year at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. or Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
- Apparel: Exclusive team apparel, which may include tops, bottoms, shoes, boxing boots, etc.
- Medal Bonuses: Elite and youth boxers that hit certain performance markers at major international competitions may be eligible to receive medal bonus funding.
