West Texas
President#
I got into boxing at the age of 8 because of my own past trials, traumas, and tribulations. I am a firm believer that we experience and what we have learned in life and in the sport of boxing should be used to help others.
I didn’t set out to become a coach. In fact, I did everything I possible could to NOT call myself a Coach, until eventually, it was inevitable: I saw a young man struggling with bullying, smiling, feeling left out, and because I could identify with him i retired and focused on becoming a USA Boxing coach.
Currently, I am the head Boxing Coach at 9:26 Combat Academy, where I coach over 20 boxers and teach over 30 hours of boxing a week. I am also helping as a speaker in areas such as: women's self-defense, at risk kids, and bullying at Lubbock Independent School District, Lubbock-Cooper Independent school districtFrenship Independent school district.
I have I my certifications as a mindset and life coach through the Udemy. I obtained these certifications and over 40 hours of lectures and field work. Boxing and the world of combat sports aren't much different than life.
My Goal is to eventually become a full-time speaker as well as possibly help with the USA Olympic Boxing team.
Thank you for your consideration,
Coach Ross

Vice President#
I have been a vice president before for the west Texas LBC 47 I think it's time for a change
I’m interested in serving on the board because I feel that I could make a positive impact on our LBC. I’ve volunteered as a coach for over 10 years and as an official for 5 plus years. Because of my busy work schedule I’m not able to make it to every show in our LBC but I have been actively participating as much as possible for many years. In my personal life I’ve been in a lead position at the steel company I work for and I’ve had to deal with many different types of people, all of whom have different personalities that have to be dealt with. I just want to do the best I can for a rich and wonderful sport that has given so many people an outlet and an opportunity to do positive things in their lives.
