The young star out of Houston hopes to continue her strong performance in the ring in the international stage as she makes the transition to represent Team USA globally. Perez won gold at the 2022 Youth World Championships and secured bronze in the 2022 USA Boxing Elite National Championships, as well as gold at the 2022 USA Boxing Elite National Qualifier. Perez could become the third female from Houston to punch her ticket in the Olympics, following in the footsteps of Team USA greats, Marlen Esparza and Virginia Fuchs.
