Oklahoma
President#
I feel I would be a great president, been w usaboxing for 20+ years have ran a nonprofit for about 15 years. Did 23years in the military. Was part of the WCAP was the first Army women bixing coach. Currently are a kevel 3 coach bronze level. Was recently inducted in the Oklahoma Boxing Hall of Fame.
I'm currently the LBC president, having held that position since 2017. Prior to that, I served as the LBC vice-president. During my time as LBC president, I've worked to grow the sport of amateur boxing in our state and beyond, forming partnerships with both USA Boxing and Golden Gloves of America. As the President of the Kansas-Oklahoma Golden Gloves Franchise, we partnered with the City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Sports Commission to host the Golden Gloves of America National Tournament of Champions in Tulsa two consecutive years. We recently won the bid to host the tournament again in 2025 & 26 (not yet publicly announced). I'm the owner of the Engine Room Boxing Gym and have been a USA Boxing-registered coach for 15 years. In addition to providing fitness boxing training to our general membership, our gym has a competitive boxing team with both amateur and professional boxers. I'm also the owner of Engine Room VR, a tech company that created Golden Gloves VR, a virtual boxing game. Through ERVR, I have developed partnerships with USA Boxing and GG of America which has the potential to expand the reach of the sport of amateur boxing to an enormous audience through eSports and gaming. We've also developed contacts within the UK amateur boxing community, which may lead to future boxing exhibitions in Oklahoma, as well as virtual tournaments between Oklahoma boxers and their UK counterparts. In addition, I'm the founder and creator of Ready to Fight (Parkinson's disease), the official therapy boxing program of USA Boxing. I'm also a certified cardiac nurse. In conclusion, I believe my experience as both a boxing coach and small business owner makes me well-qualified for this position. I would like the opportunity to continue to nurture the business and community relationships I've made during my tenure to better serve our coaches, boxers and officials. Thank you for your consideration.

I have served on the LBC BOD as the Registration Chair since 2017 as well as boxed from 2017-2019! When our Vice President became ill, I helped with some of the responsibilities so our LBC wouldn’t get behind in growing the the sport in our state. I am now. Level 2 official, Official In Charge certified as well as a R/J Clinician for our state. I own a gym in Edmond and am heavily invested in this sport and would like to officially be voted in as Vice President! I also have a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from the University of Central Oklahoma.
