by USA Boxing

With the 2021 USA Boxing National Championships quickly approaching, we wanted to provide important reminders and updates for those planning to attend.

Coach Registration and Check-In

Coaches must complete registration prior to arriving to Shreveport! Coaches that register by Monday, Nov. 22 will receive free registration for the event, however, any coach that registers after Nov. 22 will be charged a $30 registration fee. Coaches’ late registration closes Dec. 1. No walk-up registrations will be allowed!

During the tournament, coaches may check-in for the tournament on the day their boxer competes, however, check-in hours will only be allowed from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Coaches will not be able to check-in once a session begins.

Registration for boxers closes on Monday, Nov. 22.

Bout Lengths for Bantam and Intermediate

At these National Championships, the bout lengths for bantam and intermediate boxers will increase. Bantam boxers will now box 3, 1 ½ minute rounds, while intermediate boxers will box 3, 2-minute rounds. All other divisions will remain the same.

COVID-19 Policies

Coaches, Officials, Staff, Elite Division Boxers and Youth Division Boxers will be required at check-in to show COVID vaccine or testing documentation. All other boxer age divisions are NOT required testing or vaccine documentation. (However, must adhere to the mask mandate.)

One of the three below documentation options must be presented:

• COVID Vaccine Card showing at least one vaccination.

• Negative COVID test results taken within 72 hours prior of check-in (AT-HOME TESTS NOT PERMITTED)

• Positive COVID test results between August 21 -November 21, 2021.

Those who do NOT provide one of the above will be required to go get a local COVID-19 test prior to check-in. Those who test positive within 72 hours prior will not be allowed to participate at the event. To prevent the spread of the virus, please do not travel to Shreveport.

Mask Requirements

All coaches, officials, boxers, staff and volunteers will be required to wear a mask in the field of play, which includes weigh-ins and warm-up area.  Once in warm-up area or field of play, boxers that are actively warming up or competing will not have to wear a mask.

Spectator Mask Guidelines: Spectators will be allowed at the National Championships, but not required to wear a mask in the stands.

**Subject to change, pending any changes to venue requirements**
