Youth and Elite Male Boxers Put on Show During Second Day of 2020 USA Boxing National Championships

by USA Boxing

After USA Boxing’s return to the national stage yesterday in Shreveport, La., the second day of the rescheduled 2020 USA Boxing National Championships continued to show the boxers of USA Boxing have not missed a beat, even after 466 days between the start of these championships and the conclusion of the last national tournament in Dec. 2019.

The elite men in the competition continued their path to one of nine national titles up for grabs, while the first youth male bouts got underway at the Shreveport Convention Center to begin their tournament run. A total of 80 bouts took place through the evening, which saw a short delay for safety precautions due to weather.

Boxing will continue tomorrow with two sessions, 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CST, as well as our third pre-show of the tournament starting at 10:30 a.m. CST. All the action, along with brackets, results and more, can be found on the event website
