Pueblo officials prepare for USA Boxing International Open
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) - In less than two weeks, USA Boxing will head to Pueblo, Colorado for their yearly International Open.
The event kicks off at the Pueblo Convention Center and runs from April 13 to April 19.
USA Boxing to host Louisiana State Golden Gloves Tournament in West Monroe
WEST MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — USA Boxing is gearing up for the Louisiana State Golden Gloves Tournament, a two-day event on Saturday, March 22, 2025, and Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the West Monroe Recreation Center located at 1802 N. 7th St.
The tournament will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 23.
According to Discover Monroe-West Monroe officials, roughly 100 boxers will compete in the weekend tournament.
World Boxing Cup: Yoseline Perez Through to The Finals
The event is an international boxing competition organized by the International Boxing Association (IBA), featuring boxers from various weight divisions. Initially designed as an individual competition, it later transitioned into a team-based format before reverting back to an individual-focused structure. Despite this, team scores continue to be tracked and considered.
With individual boxers competing in their weight categories, it is considered a team competition, and the overall winner is decided by the higher number of total wins. Different teams represent different countries and continents with the number of weight categories differed per Cup.
