USA Boxing announced that the 2024 USA Boxing National Championships will be hosted at the Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Va., from Dec. 16-21.
“USA Boxing is excited to bring Olympic-style boxing to Richmond, Virginia,” stated Mike McAtee, USA Boxing CEO and Executive Director. “We look forward to showcasing the United States’ boxing talent pool as we begin our new Olympic cycle and shift our focus to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.”
The 2024 USA Boxing National Championships will see boxers in the bantam (ages 10-11), intermediate (ages 12-13), junior (ages 14-15), youth (ages 16-17) and elite (ages 18-39) divisions, among various weight classes, step into one of four rings during the week-long event.
“Our team is honored and thrilled to welcome the country’s top boxers and their fans to the Richmond region later this year,” said Jerrine Lee, VP of Sales at Richmond Region Tourism. “We’re ready to cheer on these talented athletes as they take the ring and compete for national championship titles.”
Competition for the 2024 USA Boxing National Championships will kick off on Saturday, Dec. 16 at noon ET, and run daily until the finals competition, which will be contested on Saturday, Dec. 21, starting at noon. All boxers competing in Richmond will look to earn points towards their USA Boxing National Rankings. The top eight boxers in each weight category will receive points towards their 2025 rankings. Tickets for the event can be purchased at will call, starting at $10 daily or $50 for a weekly pass. Tickets for Saturday’s championship bouts are available for $25.
