USA Boxing is excited to announce its return to Lafayette, La., as the 2nd Annual 2024 USA Boxing Women’s Championships will take place at the CajunDome Convention Center. This event will take place August 15-20, as USA Boxing returns to Lafayette, as the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Boxing and National Championships were held at the CajunDome in December of 2023.

“We are pleased to continue the momentum with yet another prestigious event coming to Lafayette Parish this August, the USA Boxing Woman’s National Championships,” said the President and CEO of Lafayette Travel, Ben Berthelot “Not only will this event once again put us on the map, welcoming many first time attendees, it will provide a great boost for the local economy right before school starts with an estimated 2300 room nights and nearly $2 million in economic impact.”

“We are excited to host our second consecutive Women's Championship," said USA Boxing Board of Director member and athlete representative, Danielle Perkins. "Last year's event was a big success, and we are happy to bring it back to a city that we are familiar with and has shown us great hospitality."

Registration will open on June 10 and will close on August 2, while the cancellation deadline is July 24 and coaches’ late fee starts on August 1. There will be no walkup registration for boxers or coaches.

This event will be USA Boxing third national tournament of the 2024 year.  The week-long event is open to all nationalities, including non-US Citizens and members of other International Federations.

This event is open to novice (beginner) and open (experienced) boxers of all ages from pee wee (aged 8-10) to masters (35 and over) and aims to create opportunities for women of all ages and abilities to compete.

This marks as the second USA Boxing Women’s Championships as the inaugural was held last year in Toledo, Ohio. Last year inaugural event had eight countries represent and over 200 total boxers. USA Boxing has made this event an international event and is proud to deliver this event in association with World Boxing.
