The 2024 USA Boxing Women’s National Championships are set to begin next week on Saturday, Aug. 17, and run through Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the CajunDome & Convention Center in Lafayette, La. This four-day event promises to showcase the strength and skill of female boxers in all age groups across the United States.

The four-day event is open to all nationalities, including non-U.S. citizens and members of other International Federations. This year’s event is open to novice (beginner) and open (experienced) boxers of all ages from pee wee (aged 8-10) to masters (35 and over), creating competition opportunities for women of all ages and abilities.

“USA Boxing is very excited to return to Lafayette, La., this time for the 2024 USA Boxing Women's National Championships,” said USA Boxing CEO and Executive Director Mike McAtee. “The Lafayette Travel staff has done incredible work to prepare for and host this event, and I am confident that their efforts will help us provide unique opportunities to continue the growth of USA Boxing and its women members."

"We are thrilled to sustain our momentum with another prestigious event arriving in Lafayette Parish next week: the USA Boxing Women’s National Championships,” said Ben Berthelot, President and CEO of Lafayette Travel. “This event will not only put us on the map once again, welcoming many first-time attendees, but it will also provide a significant boost to the local economy.”

This event will host approximately 150 boxers and serve as USA Boxing's third national tournament of the 2024 calendar year. Competition at the USA Boxing 2024 Women’s National Championships will apply to USA Boxing Rankings.

Tickets for the event are available and start at $10 daily or $50 for a weekly pass, while Saturday’s championship bouts cost $25.

This marks the second USA Boxing Women’s Championships event, following the inaugural 2023 event in Toledo, Ohio. Last year's inaugural event featured boxers from eight countries and over 200 boxers. USA Boxing has made this event an international competition and is proud to deliver this event in association with World Boxing.
