2024 USA Boxing International Invitational Roster Announcement

Today, USA Boxing announced the World Boxing Cup: 2024 USA Boxing International Invitational Team roster, which will compete at the 2024 USA Boxing International Invitational in Pueblo, Colo.

The World Boxing Cup: 2024 USA Boxing International Invitational roster is highlighted by four boxers who qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in October at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. Those four boxers include Jennifer Lozano (Laredo, Texas), Jahmal Harvey (Oxon Hill, Md.), Jajaira Gonzalez (Glendora, Calif.) and Morelle McCane (Cleveland, Ohio).

Lozano entered the record books in 2023 as Lozano won silver at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and helped put her hometown, Laredo, Texas, on the map. She became the first athlete from her city to qualify for an Olympic Games in any sport. McCane is the first female boxer to qualify for an Olympic Games from Cleveland and is the fifth straight boxer from Cleveland to compete in the Olympics. She also is just the second female boxer from Ohio to compete in an Olympics.

As for The Oxon Hill native, Jahmal Harvey, he was the first American male to win an Elite World title since 2007. He punched his ticket to Paris when he won gold at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. Jajaira Gonzalez was a bronze medalist at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and a three-time amateur World Champion in the junior and youth divisions.

Following the qualified boxers, the 2024 World Boxing Cup: USA Boxing International Invitational team includes World Champion Robby Gonzales (Las Vegas, Nevada. Gonzales won gold at the 2021 Elite World Championships and has been one of Team USA’s top boxers, winning multiple gold medals in international competitions, including the 2022 Continental Championships, as well as two gold medals and one bronze medal in 2023.

Jamar Talley (Camden, N.J.), 2023 Gee Bee International Tournament and 2022 AMBC Elite Championships gold medalists; Roscoe Hill (Spring, Texas), 2023 Pan American Games bronze medalist and 2022 AMBC Continental champion, and multiple 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Boxing champions will also be competing, including Terry Washington (San Bernardino, Calif.), Dedrick Crocklem (Tacoma, Wash.), Keon Davis (Norfolk, Va.), and Amir Anderson (Syracuse, N.Y.) The remaining male boxers rostered are listed below.

As for the notable female boxers to watch includes Naomi Graham (Fayetteville, N.C), the sole returning Olympian on the roster, 2022 USA Boxing Elite National Champion and one of Team USA rising stars in Alyssa Mendoza (Caldwell, Idaho), and Shera Mae Patricio (Waianae, Hawaii), 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Boxing champion. The remaining female boxers rostered are listed below.

This marks the second time Pueblo has hosted USA Boxing’s International Invitational, as the city hosted the inaugural event in 2022, where Team USA won 15 medals, including five gold, three silver, and seven bronze.

The event will be held in partnership with the City of Pueblo and will take place Tuesday through Friday, with sessions starting at noon and 6pm. The finals and medaling ceremonies will take place at noon on Saturday. The Invitational will host more than 120 boxers from 17 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, the Philippines, and Sweden.
