Additional events announced for 2023 USA Boxing Women’s Championships

The inaugural USA Boxing Women’s Championships scheduled for July 22-29 in Toledo, Ohio. A completed schedule with additional community events, competitions and training opportunities have been finalized.
The event will kick off on Saturday with an Opening Ceremony and Welcome event which will include a panel discussion of USA Boxing Alumni including 2020 Olympian Virginia Fuchs and 2018 Elite World Champion Danielle Perkins.
Saturday will also provide the opportunity for the boxers to receive professional headshots during check-in. Boxers are encouraged to wear uniform or their club attire for the photo.
Sunday will see boxers be special guest at the Toledo Mud Hens baseball game, including a parade around the stadium to welcome our boxers to the Toledo community. Following the game will be a reception presented by the USA Boxing Alumni Association at the Glass City Center.
The first day of boxing will take place on Monday with matched bouts, as well as a networking event for women’s coaches.
Tuesday will be a full day of activities including an open workout for boxers and coaches, led by USA Boxing Coaching Education Clinicians, and highly encouraged for all boxers and coaches to attend to learn more workouts used by the USA Boxing High Performance teams. The 90-minute workout will be broken into three different sessions by age.
The day will also consist of a Positive Coaching Alliance workshop, which will be open to all coaches and officials to attend, and a party in the park that will consist of roller skating and rock climbing.

After Friday’s boxing, we will host a Purple Carpet Gala, which will include a DJ and honor some of our participants, it will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Glass City Center. Boxers and coaches are welcome to attend the event and enjoy the successful week!
