Reading’s Maximillano Baez III is finding his way while on a journey to a career in boxing, and in more ways than one.

Having already found a positive outlet through the sport, Baez is looking to give back as he wants to use his platform to inspire others regardless of where his powerful punches land him in the future.

STRATFORD — Boxing is in Joseph Chisholm's blood. 

The 17-year-old Stratford resident is the fourth youngest of 10 children, six of whom have won national titles in various forms of fighting. Joseph has four national titles himself, with the most recent being the Junior Golden Gloves Championship in August.

Membership for training at the Al Lowe Boxing Club, located at Lindley Recreation Center, is open to all residents 12 years and older. No boxing experience is required. The boxing club also serves as a fitness gym and is used for conditioning by all members.
