What’s New in Boxing

Two-time Olympian and 2007 world champion Rau’shee Warren won a unanimous decision over Alessio DiSavino and Mikaela  Mayer won the only women’s bout during the USA vs. Italy Dual Friday in Reno, Nev. Italy won seven of 11 bouts, but the four American victories all came in  convincing fashion. Warren, who moved up to featherweight, and Mayer, a lightweight, were joined as winners by welterweight Eduardo Alicea and middleweight Jesse Hart.
