Important Message to USA Boxing Membership

RE:         Board of Directors' Conference Call 

The National Office will be posting the minutes from today's conference call on the website after it has been reviewed and edited. We hope to have them posted by tomorrow, Monday at the latest. 

The meeting was called to review the AIBA edited version of the new By-Laws prior to sending them to the USOC for review and discussion. 

During the meeting, a motion was passed by the Board of Directors to change the method by which Directors are selected to the Board. The motion allows for the voting of the following Directors by the Chair or a Representative of each LBC: 

• President
• Vice-President
• Treasurer
• Womens Boxing Representative
• Official Representative
• Coach Representative 

In addition, the Board will have three Athlete Directors, three Independent Directors and one Affiliate Member (Golden Gloves or PAL representative). The selection process for these members will be described in either the minutes and or the By-Laws. 

I encourage all members to read the minutes when they are posted. It will give some insight to the process by which the current Board is proceeding. The new By-Laws are being edited to reflect this change. They will be submitted to AIBA by next week.
