USA Boxing announces a fund raising campaign with a goal of raising $90,000 in 90 days.

Since my arrival as the Interim Executive Director, the office has had to suspend several initiatives and programs that are very important to our athletes and volunteers. The funds generated by this campaign will be directed to these programs. These include the Scholarship Program, LBC Officials Clinics, athlete funding and equipment distribution.

In addition, the Board of Directors is announcing that the LBC Presidents will participate in the reorganization of USA Boxing. Some of the funds generated will be dedicated to cover the specific expenses associated with conducting a National Meeting in early 2010.

The National Office is pleased to announce that the campaign was kicked off Wednesday when Colorado Springs resident Hal Adonis delivered $1000.00 to our office. Thank you, Hal.  You are a champion for amateur boxing.

I would invite all members to share this letter with their business contacts and Foundations in their community. We have challenges ahead, but the Board and National Office is confident that through the efforts of dedicated members and their commitment to the sport of amateur boxing we will get USA Boxing back on track to become one of the most successful National Governing Bodies in the United States.

Please contact the National Office for additional information, or to obtain our non-profit status documents for use in this campaign.
