This event will begin in Sheffield, England for a dual training camp with Great Britian's Boxing Team and end with two dual matches against the Italian Boxing Team in Italy. The United States will be represented by 2010 US National Championship finalists: 108 lbs/ light-flyweight Louie Byrd (Denver, Colo.), 114 lbs/flyweight Miguel Cartagena (Philadelphia, Pa.), 123 lbs/Bantamweight Jose Diaz Jr. (Elmonte, Calif.), 132 lbs/lightweight Jose Ramirez (Avenal, Calif), 141 lbs/light-welterweight Pedro Sosa (Bronx, N.Y.), 152 lbs/welterweight Errol Spense (Desoto, Texas), 165 lbs/middleweight Luis Arias (Milwaukee, Wisc.), 178 lbs/light-heavyweight Jeffrey Spencer (Fort Carson, Colo.), 201 lbs/heavyweight Steve Geffard (Boca Raton, Fla.) and 201+ super-heavyweight Lenroy Thompson (Lenexa, Kansas). The team will be led by coaches Al Simpson (Charlotte, N.C.), Anthony Chase (Atlanta, Georgia) and Gene Vivero (Dallas, Texas). Physicians looking after the athletes in Sheffield will be Tony Al-Amin (Philadelphia, Pa) and Martha Dodson while the team is in Italy. During the duals on September 8th and September 11th the US will have two officials taking part, Joe Sanchez (Darien, IL) and Kevin Franklin (McDonough, Georgia).
