June 14, 2010 to June 19, 2010 - Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, United States

 
TRANSPORTATION WILL ONLY BE PROVIDED TO THE REGIONAL DELEGATIONS THAT FLY INTO JACKSONVILLE, N.C. AIRPORT (OAJ) OR WILMINGTON, N.C. AIRPORT (ILM) AND SUBMIT THEIR FULL TEAM'S TRAVEL INFORMATION  (this includes those driving which MUST provide vehicle type, license plate number and a copy of their drivers license) BY MAY 28TH. 
 
Note***If you are driving to Camp Lejeune and ARE NOT PART OF A REGIONAL DELEGATION you MUST be ready to provide a valid drivers license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance at time of entry into Camp Lejeune.
 
  • Monday, June 14th - Registration/Arrival.  The draw will take place at the competition site once registration is closed.
  • Tuesday, June 15th through Friday, June 18th - Competition bouts take place
  • Saturday, June 19th - Delegations Depart
This even is open to qualifying male and female athletes who must be born between the dates of August 2, 1993 and August 1, 1995 and must be 15 or 16 years old.  USA Boxing will allow ALL MALE CHAMPIONS from the 2009 Junior National Championships an automatic bid into the 2010 USA Boxing Junior National Championships, only if the athletes meet the age requirements.  Returning 2009 Junior National Champions are only eligible in the same weight class in 2010. If they can no longer compete in that weight class then the athlete must qualify through their local LBC path.
 

Qualification Tournaments for Boys (15-16 years old only):

  • 14 Regional Tournaments
  • Silver Gloves
  • 2009 USA Boxing Junior Olympic National Champions
  • At-Large Athletes (Must apply through National Office)

Qualification Tournaments for Girls (15-16 years old only):

  • 14 Regional Tournaments

In terms of being financially responsible, housing and meals will ONLY be available for the coaches, team manager, officials and athletes listed on the official registered roster of each delegation.  If you are not on the official registered team roster you are responsible for all of your own transportation, housing and meal expenses.  Each Regional team can consist of NO MORE than 2 coaches, 1 team manager, 1 official and 1 athlete per weight class. If a female athlete is part of your delegation, we receommend that there must be at least one female adult (i.e. coach, team manager or official) as part of your registered delegation to be responsible for the female athlete(s).                                        

WEIGHT CLASSES
Men (17 classes): 90, 95, 101, 106, 110, 114, 119, 125, 132, 138, 145, 154, 165, 176, 189, 201, 201+

Male athletes must be greater than 85 lbs. to compete in the 90 lbs. weight class.

Female (18 classes): 80, 85, 90, 95, 101, 106, 110, 114, 119, 125, 132, 138, 145, 154, 165, 176, 189, 189+
Female athletes must be greater than 75 lbs. to compete in teh 80 lbs. weight class.
