  • Always supports his teammates, yelling encouragement from ringside and serving as another assistant coach
  • Qualified at the final possible event for the U.S. Championships, the lone qualifier for the Olympic Team Trials after wanting to quit boxing. His mother made sure that he went to the final event and raised money for him to do so.
